Empowering High-Achieving Professionals and Creatives to Excel
Molly Curry’s leadership and communications coaching bridges a performing arts background with a 12+ year tenure in various roles in the asset management industry. Her areas of coaching expertise include developing empathetic leaders, powerful presentation training, and cross-cultural and cross-functional communication skills. Given her unconventional professional background, Molly also understands the experience of imposter syndrome and pressures to conform to professional and societal expectations all too well. Her own journey has been one of embracing authenticity and honoring her unique path - learnings which she now leverages to guide others.
In her professional theatrical career and as a member of the Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA, Molly regularly performed in plays and musicals on numerous stages in the U.S. and abroad, in front of intimate and stadium-sized audiences alike. Following her grown up transition into the corporate world over a decade ago, she ultimately found herself in leadership roles managing investor relations, business development and people operations teams within global quantitative trading and asset management firms.
Gravitating organically into a coaching style of leadership within these roles, Molly gained extensive experience coaching teams to be more cohesive and coaching individuals cross-functionally and at all organizational levels to refine their leadership styles and achieve critical business objectives. Recognizing that her hidden superpower had always been to truly see the people around her and support them in cultivating their unique styles, strengths and perspectives, Molly left in-house roles in order to expand her reach and launch her independent leadership and communications coaching practice. In tandem, Molly continues to provide consulting services to asset management firms in the areas of investor relations, marketing, client services, administrative services, organizational culture and D&I initiatives.
Molly holds a BS in Speech from Northwestern University and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. She is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), an Accomplishment Coaching Certified Coach (ACCC), and a Hedge Fund Executive Coach with Arootah.
Molly’s coaching approach dynamically merges her creative and corporate identities to empower her clients to chart a holistic pathway to their desired results. Intimately familiar with the rigorous pacing, high standards, analytical mindset and results-orientation of most asset management organizational cultures, Molly adapts ontological coaching to her clients’ needs and preferred tempo, while also challenging their norms and holding space for curiosity, creativity and deep exploration of how their personal purpose can best align with their organization’s. In this way, the pursuit of professional growth can serve as a transformative access point to broader personal fulfillment.
(*but maybe not.)
(**the pumps weren’t always sensible, to be fair.)
Molly resides in Long Island City, NY with her modern, blended, mini-Brady Bunch family: her amazing daughter, unbelievably supportive partner, and two awesome boys who maybe one day will manage to teach her how soccer works.* In her personal time, she can often be found on a yoga mat or (maybe) jogging along the waterfront. Lately she channels her lifelong passion for music and theatre into her beginner guitar lessons, and she hopes to keep her rural upbringing and dairy farmer lineage alive via her urban gardening pursuits.
Molly’s background has uniquely positioned her to bridge the gap between creativity and corporate success. Trading in her muck boots first for tap shoes and later for a sensible** work pump, she strives for resiliency and adaptability in all of her pursuits. Her experience in the arts and finance allows her to navigate complex environments and bring structure to creative pursuits. Her dual expertise enables her to offer a coaching experience that integrates the best of both worlds. She invites high-achieving professionals and creatives to explore their whole selves in order to identify untapped potential and achieve extraordinary results.
